Re: The General Roleplay
Ah, well that answers that. He ran off that way. We were talking about following but... since we don't know what's here, and most of us can't fight, our friend suggested we don't split up.
Still though... with you back then Rohan...
*He turns to the Summoner.*
How about we go check what Archie's up to then whilst Rohan stays with the others?
"Very well, you two seem more than capable to drag that ridiculus man back in here. I suppose no one has any objections?"
"In the meantime, we shall investigate this place further. The "Pokemon" as that pirate spoke of, is obviously not the only thing that is odd in this place...."
"No, I don't have any objections myself. Splitting up will allow us to explore this Aquarium faster, which is a real need - this place is probably going to close soon. With that said, I agree with Phoenix that we should have at least one capable figther in each group, as we don't know what's waiting for us around here..."
"Call us if you need help with anything, okay? We'll do the same."
Mia just hoped that her cellphone would work in that place...

Re: The General Roleplay
Tuslo floated down to Spider-Man and his new companion. She hadn't felt much like talking there, instead letting her companion handle the matter for her. "Let's go then," she said, ready to head off to their destination. Hopefully this newcomer wouldn't cause that much trouble for them.
Vespus watched the Roomba without much of an interest. He didn't really know what to say, as the Roomba was little different from the Automatons employed by the Imperium of Mankind, so he didn't have much worth commenting on. He was tempted to ask about anything regarding Big P, but that ultimately felt like an unwise decision, as this girl they were with seemed all too much like she knew too much. Instead, he decided to ask, "Is it possible for us to get a tour of the location?"
Warrior Astrid was able to shield herself and Future Tuslo from harm. Future Tuslo then quickly arrived at where Mewtwo was and began unleashing a flurry of punches and kicks against her opponent, the blows happening at rapid speeds to try and put Mewtwo on the defensive.
The Summoner nodded. "Sounds like a plan," he replied. "Let's get going, we don't want Archie to get too far away."

Regiwi wrote:*Another figure dressed in a long trench coat and hat walks up to the conspicuous figure.*
Man, it's cramped enough... do you really have to start doing that down here?
"Just do your job," the man said, with a slight French accent. "Time and energy to complain is time and energy wasted. What conditions you think I normally work under?"
His was a hectic job, but he knew better than to go on a rant. So he just closed his kit and looked keenly at the train, now halting by his associate's strange ability.
Regiwi wrote:This better damn well work...
*The gauntlets on his arms begin to glow before a powerful blast of vibrated air is fired forwards. It's set to such a pressure that it doesn't blast the subway train away but makes it slow down gradually to almost a stop. The figure continues with the blasts from his gauntlets. The vibrations would cause a slight rumble for anyone directly on the streets above.*
Right! Get in there and bring it to a stop! I can only hold this thing so long.
"On it."
The man left the shadows, but just as he did, he brought up a pocket watch of sorts.
Once he did, however, there was a low sound, and he gradually dissapeared. His steps could still be heard by the most attentive viewers, but other than that, he was invisible.
Infiltrating the train, he managed to slip through to the driver, which was looking out and generally making confused sounds.
"W-What's going on? What is that guy?"
"I wouldn't worry about him."
"Wha--"
Before the man could turn around, he was stabbed in the back, and fell down to the right immediately. Blood spilled around faster than it should have been natural.
"Oh dear, I've made quite a mess."
Nevertheless, the Spy took control of the room.
As this was happening, however, the tremors were picked up by something back in Emma's Bureau. An alarm-like ringing sounded in the room where Zinnia had entered. It wasn't a lab, but it was a computer room with some surveillance apparatuses all around. And one of them was ringing, changing the main display to an area underground, which was quite dark.
"What in the world...?"
Looker stormed into the room. It should be near enough the lab that the Doctor can overhear, or that the people speaking in the entrance, namely Hau, Red, Pikachu and Vanitas would know that something's going on.
"I heard the alarm! What's the emergency?"
"I can't tell you, Looker! The cameras got sapped or the tremors got to 'em. I can't get a good visual. Something's definitely happening with the train, though!"
"The whole train...? Was it stopped? This is no trivial matter! We need to warn the Detective-"
"You do that, Looker. I'll go on ahead! Scouting a bit, y'know!"
"Zinnia, I appreciate the energy, but this might be dangerous!"
"All the more reason for we to act as soon as possible! I'll try to inform you as soon as I get something. Salamence!"
She didn't even have to throw a Pokéball out the window: her Pokémon answered the call even before her doing so, and right outside an awkwardly angled window. Zinnia didn't bother making more small talk, and blasted off with her Pokémon.
On a more calm note:
Nenilein wrote:
"W-Whoa!! Underground!? Seriously? I didn't know there were people underground! H-How do you live like that?"
He added mumbling.
"And am I getting this right...? There's no Pokemon down there? No trainers...?" He shivered. "N-Next you're telling me you've never had a Malasada before either!"
"... Malasada? ... Wow, that sounds tasty!"
She missed the point of answering the other questions because she was still trying to understand that the humans had as much of an idea of monsters as monsters had of humans. It was an interesting dynamic, but she barely managed to register it right before someone interjected.
Reverie wrote:Popping up behind Red and munching loudly on a packet of baked potato snacks, Vanitas was unable to stop himself from saying something vaguely insulting.
"Those names are terrible. Not that I really have the right to say that, given where I come from."
"Hey! I resent that! 'Red' is simple and clean! I think. What is your name again, spiky hair?"
"... Oh wait, geez, those spikes are kinda cool. Err... Don't be THAT cool! It makes us look bad."
She does hear the sounds from the other rooms, but she doesn't realize yet it's an alarm of sorts. And some other person might see Zinnia flying away in a Salamence from the window.
Reverie wrote:
"This... isn't our Netherworld. We've moved, haven't we?"
"Bingo. It's quite a hassle, isn't it."
"At least I can't say she just plain abandoned Gensokyo. She should still be around there. I'm just doing my thing: I can't help with the Great Border anyway."
"I can't take you to her, but I can probably drop you off by the place where the sightseeing occurs. She'll show up there at some point, I think. How does that sound?"
"The first ride for you is free, but I expect a little payment next time~"
Komachi was mostly teasing, but she'd gauge the reaction and act upon that later. For now (and now to see how Kasen dealt with Rena's blast), she turned to the others.
"I just realized you never explicitly told me where you guys want to go. Rena was on her quest, and I guess she's managed to get something out of it, but what about you two?" She asked, directing herself to Madotsuki and Adachi.
Regiwi wrote:
Well then, we have no time to waste. Let's see what we have in store!
*A door appears ready for Pit to run up to and open, his wings glowing with the power of flight as the music starts to play.*
If the door is just by the temple's original place anyway, Pit will find himself very much in the air, and greeted with a fair number of fairies to fight along the way, stirred into excitement by the new temple appearing and because, a good way farther away, a shrine maiden may be destroying them by the dozen.
"Just when I think an incident is not gonna stir the place too much, the fairies go crazy..."
"They feel stronger too. Something's affecting them, and it's got to be in that temple."
"It's one of those times I wouldn't mind Marisa taking care of it for me... The festival is underway, after all. But she left already..."
Reimu moved on, throwing talismans at her foes. She's going towards the temple, but has been detouring around fairies, so she's not near yet.
IF was a bit overwhelmed by information. They had landed near what appeared to be a festival, and Byakuren confirmed it was her land. That was probably why she spoke so casually with the absolutely ordinary witch that showed up later. Though the one with extravagant clothes and the octoling definitely confused her, she did at least have one beacon of confusion that somehow made things less intense.
Regiwi wrote:*Stuff slows to a stop and Link hops off, turning to his new friends.*

"... I've lived in Lowee a good chunk of my life, and I still don't get you, hero."
She smiled after that, though. It's not like she didn't appreciate the safeguarding from what happened at SEGA.
"Now..."
She remained mostly with Byakuren for now, and only sort of overheard Marisa and Marina's conversation.
"Seems like most people here don't take kindly to outsiders. Even in the middle of that kind of festival? Wouldn't outsiders be a boon for the economy?"
Triplemathics wrote:

Revy gestures over her shoulder at the man formerly known as Gaston.
"...Ew," is all Rapunzel has to say to that.
She looks at the incredibly handsome corpse that is Gaston. Aww, someone should give that poor man a funeral already!
"...I'm not really into the whole 'playing with dead things' thing, you know, Miss? Personally, I'm more of a... 'bring the dead back to life' kind of girl! That's how I got my boyfriend, after all."
"..."
The restaurant is appalled at this casual banter about the one and only Gaston. They were already altered by the stance of the lady, but now most of the activity halted into a solemn silence. Kino looked between both speakers for a moment, and then to the corpse.
"That's not very nice."
She took the order from the hands of the motionless barman, and chugged a good portion of it in one go. Her eyes swept through the bar for a moment.
"You must not have a lot of friends," Kino commented, off-hand. She'd like to ask more of Rapunzel's story, but she had a feeling the foul-mouthed woman to her side wouldn't let her.
Any wrote:"Hey, I know it's not your fault things have been hectic, it's okay. I've always appreciated you trying so hard for me..."
The gem falls silent for a second, her smile now gone for the moment. She's about to scowl, even.
"In fact, it's kinda weird. I don't really think I deserve such kindness, you know..."
Viridi attempts to look up without moving her head too much, which doesn't work very well, so she can't see Lapis' face. But she perceives the distress from her tone. She considers saying something witty, but it doesn't seem like the right time for it.
"Don't be ridiculous. Not deserving kindness is a very difficult achievement."
"It took all of humanity and its irredemable, continuous acts to make me think they weren't deserving of any kindness anymore. And even then, people like Frisk remind me that there's some people there that can be worth keeping. Funny how they tend to be the younger ones... I guess they're less contaminated by human stupidity."
"Anyway. Speaking for myself, having you here was always a good thing. You even helped set my head straight once, back there... And even when you only wanted some peace and quiet ever since getting here, you never left when things got hectic. ... Thank you for that."
In a rare display, Viridi had a dreamy smile on her face, and had to hold in a short laugh. Even when it had settled how she appreciated the presence of the newcomer, for the reasons put and for the absense of Dark Pit, putting it to words just heightened the effect in her heart.
"So yeah, I sure do owe you some kindness, c'mon!" She tapped the side of Lapis lightly with her shoulder. "If you still don't think so, try me. Tell me the reasons. Or just relax with me. It's what you wanted and- I don't mind staying like this."
Regiwi wrote:*The Doctor helps the last of the group up into the room and then shuts the door, before using his sonic screwdriver on the lock.*
As Weiss reaches the room, and notices that they have that momentary respite, she almost collapses on the floor, and spends the next minutes or however much time the Doctor spoke to Lynne to catch her breath. She could only run on adrenaline so much, and it felt like she just ran 2 marathons worth of dangers now.
"..."
She did listen to what the Doctor said, regardless. Not that she understood the details: she had only a vague understanding of the Doctor's capabilities. But she was inclined to trust his judgement, anyway. She let herself slump against the wall, and survey briefly the survivors that they still had. They had some losses, but she was tired enough that she couldn't explicitly react to it.
"... Doctor?"
She'd interject whenever she could find out a pause.
"I hate to ask this, but... Do you have any more jelly?"
More sugar meant more running time later. She was just being efficient and certainly NOT silly. ... Right?
In the meantime:
Reverie wrote:"HALT! STATE YOUR DESIGNATION!" enunciated one, not even slightly aware of the danger that the artificial creation posed.
"YOU WILL IDENTIFY!" screeched the other, edging towards Mewtwo at a steady pace. "IDENTIFY!"
"..."
Mewtwo didn't reply. Not that he could without the Trainer's body: or anyone's body, for that matter. He also didn't perceive the robots as the immediate threat. Mainly because Tuslo came rushing in with energetic and fast attacks. And Chara's threat was still present, even if he couldn't pinpoint where.
But that was successful in getting Mewtwo on the defensive. He traded blows enpowered by shadows, and was steadily being moved one way by the fight.
Far away, in a conspicuous corner of Hyrule, heavy clouds set up and around a big house of sorts, very blocky and not very different from its surroundings. This place was perfectly peaceful, until thunder struck from the clouds, and as if through magic or a bad animated effect, it caused Rita Repulsa and some of her minions to appear on land. And as soon as they were there, they barged into the house, through the wide open door.
The only denizen, a seemingly young girl with green hair and garb, looked on at the incoming group with some surprise.
"Visitors? ... Ah!"
"There she is! Don't just stand around, you sacks of meat! SEIZE HER!"
"Right away, my queen!" Goldar said from the sidelines, and commanded a line of incoming Putty Patrollers with a hand gesture and a simple command. "Go!"
"Hey, wait! Hold on! Ouch!"
The girl was held from either side by Putties, and Rita ventured to approach.
"Hahah! So, we've found you! The Oracle of Secrets!"
"You know me?"
"Insolent fool! You dare to suggest that our mighty Queen is ignorant!?" Goldar said, gesturing wildly while his mouth flabbed up and down like that of an animatronic.
"I have my sources," Rita continued, with a satisfied smile. "Now, you will forfeit to me, the key to the power you hold!"
"But I don't-"
"Don't play fool with me!" Rita stomped, and pointed forward menacingly. "You can see anything which is secret, can't you? I saw you do it with the fool in all yellow!"
"... You mean Harkinian? Oh- probably THAT Harkinian. Oh no... Is he still upset about that? I did my best..."
"Ahh! Now you speak."
"You can deny it no longer. Surrender your power to me now! I can make much better use of it than you can!"
"Wait... so you're a villain that is going to kidnap me and use my power to take over the world?"
"Exactly!"
"..."
"That's so cool!"
Confusion filled the room. Even the Putties sort of looked between themselves.
"Does she know what we mean?"
"Of course not! Who would be happy at being a prisoner?"
"Ah..."
Realizing the effect that her words had on the others, the girl shook her head by making her sprite turn right and left in quick succession, and continued.
"I-It's nothing. You just shocked me, is all. Oh no! What am I to do? I have no escape except to surrender! Gee, I sure hope a handsome, courageous hero will eventually save me!"
"Shut your trap and start being useful!" Goldar insisted, tapping with a sword harmlessly on her arm.
"Ouch! Wait, c'mon! Let me get a word out first. Ugh, wonder if Nayru had the same problem..." She cleared her throat. "You're right. I am the Oracle of Secrets. My name is Farore. And I, err..." She faltered. It was uncertain whether she was just thinking or trying to ham the next few sentences up. "... I possess the key to the realm of Secrets!"
Turning back for a moment, despite being held (magic which left some of the Putties so confused they just shrugged and left), she turned around with something in her hands. It was a triangle, glowing with purple energy and a mysterious feel to it.
"This is the Tetraforce. It opens the portals to the Realm of Secrets, which is where you can search for the knowledge you seek. Not all secrets should be unearthed-"
"English, drama queen! Do you speak it!?" Goldar insisted, and now Farore was ticked off. Which didn't show in her sprite in any way.
"Stop cutting out my flow! UUUGH! OK! You won't only find out stuff. You'll find out things that were never meant to be! Hoaxes, myths, falsehoods all manifest there! So don't go waving this around willy-nilly! Happy?"
"Hah! Not that you could stop me!" Rita said, snatching the object and observing it with a toothy grin. "If this works... It will help me plenty! With this knowledge and power, I will be unstoppable! Goldar! Seize the brat and bring her to the moon! She is still useful to us!"
"Right away, my Queen!"
"HAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAH!"
Her laugh echoes through Hyrule.
And as it happens, so do the portals. They start to pop-up all over the place, including next to the group that the King had led before, and the King itself. They spread like wildfire. Weird abominations. Non-canon material.
A new era dawns upon Hyrule...
Nah, fuck you

Re: The General Roleplay
"Gah, I can't believe I didn't notice sooner. I generally try to avoid places that might want to kill me, but even so..!"
Kasen looked slightly distressed but she quickly decided to suck it up and move onto finding the border youkai. Although she was quite comfortable in Gensokyo, this realm remained completely alien to the hermit who had spent such a long time living in the same place and she was genuinely grateful for Komachi's assistance. In truth, it was nice seeing her like this.
"You know, I may just take you up on that offer. How very kind of you."
"Although it may sound dismissive of me, I feel as though we don't often get the chance to have a conversation without death threats being made by either party. Regardless, talking to you is always interesting, Komachi."
Suddenly, Kasen was gripped by the unknown. A look of panic overcame her as she wracked her brains trying to figure out why she felt this way. Something that the shinigami had said had struck a chord with her, but what could it have been? Had the hermit perhaps forgotten something important?
"... Oh, dear. The festival, that's today," despaired Kasen under her breath before shrieking, "how could I have been so forgetful!"
And then she was shot at. The woman dodged the misguided attack out of reflex but ended up completely imbalanced, veering rapidly over the edge of the boat.
But she did not fall. Instead, Kasen pulled her feet from the ground and began floating in midair. As a hand went to her heart to feel it beating madly, she fired back a rather irritated look at the girl who had nearly hit her in the first place.
"Honestly, what kind of etiquette do you call that!"
***
Meanwhile, in Kasen's homeland, a fight was close to breaking out. Somewhat taken aback by Marina's claims, Marisa scoffed loudly and rolled her eyes.
"Listen, girly, I ain't ever heard of you before in my life! What's more, I ain't never seen anything like you either. Why do you look so slimy, ugh..!"
Moving further towards the Octoling and seriously invading her personal space, Marisa began to poke and prod at the tentacles coming out of her head as if testing them for octo-lice.
"Are you some kind of foreigner? I don't know where you're from but you're here in Gensokyo now so you better respect our traditions and let us drink- I mean, watch the blossoms in peace."
Without warning, Joon skipped into the scene and began insulting everyone within earshot. Although she didn't need much persuading on a good day, this was pretty much the last straw for Marisa, who proceeded to clutch at some kind of locket with one hand and raise her other fist in a threatening motion, swinging around to meet the pestilence god head-on.

-Ah... So that's how it is...- Raichu nodded, clearly not following fully, but impressed nevertheless. -You seem to be one clever kid, huh. Communicating with humans... I'd never get the hang of that. I mean, just listen to 'em! They talk and talk, goin' all over the place. All noise, no focus, you get what I mean?-
Just then, the room became fairly lively. Raichu sighed.
-Like, geez. Look at the racket right here. Really.-
Only now, Hau took notice of Vanitas. Startled, he jumped a little, before laughing and rubbing his neck.
"Oh... Hey! There's someone else here! Eheheh, sorry, I didn't notice. Sometimes my head's not quite in the game, you know?"
"...But hey, I'm sure you didn't come here just to insult us, right? That'd be pretty uncool... Um, boy scout? ...I guess I'm a bit of a goody-two-shoes, huh..."
Hau laughed awkwardly.
"So, um... Are you a trainer, or do you have no idea what I'm talking about either, like Red here?" (What kind of weird place did I end up in?)
Hau wasn't too bothered by the noise outside. People were rushing by. Let them have their fun.
After listening to the Doctor, Lynne took a deep breath and spoke.
"I... I never said I was giving up. This is just so frustrating! I don't know what I'm even doing here. I'm a Detective, I'm supposed to stop things like this, but my gun and my skills are all useless here. Well, duh, I'm police, not a rescue worker, but still... *sigh* We need to get to that time machine. If anyone can fix this mess, it's Sissel. I don't have any cool powers like that. Well, aside from deductive reasoning, I guess."
And finding proceeding more creative ways to die, but that felt wrong to bring up now. She really didn't wanna add "incinerated by Dalek" to the list.
Shocked, Rena apologizes profoundly! She just really hasn't quite gotten the hang of that medal yet... Ugh, how to make it work. Fragments were supposed to channel light from the future, not just indiscriminately discharge energy...
"Gen...sokyo? Is that, um, like a country? And--- Ah! H-Hey!!"
Now, having her priced tentacles prodded was the last thing Marina needed. She was so proud of them too.
"D-Don't touch that!" she shrieked, leaping back almost out of instinct. "Wow... Rude!! What kind of weird place is this? You said something about a festival, but y'know, where I come from, we don't celebrate fests by poking other people's tentacles like some weird psycho fan!"
Quite upset by the course of events, Marina brandished her Dualies. To be fair, she wasn't especially good with them... She only had tried them on Pearl's suggestion. But it was all she had right now, so it would have to do!
She may not be a member of the Octarian forces anymore, but she was still a trained Elite Octoling, and knew better than just let some weirdo attack her! If she had to defend herself, so be it!
"Don't say you didn't ask for it! INKOMING!"
Marina equipped a visor and started splattering a rapid-fire of teal ink in Marisa's direction. As harmless as the ink looked, it actually had a fair bit of octopus poison in it, harmless to cephalopods, but fairly damaging to human beings (not that she knew that.) The shots also came in fairly quickly, so here we go. As soon as she had splattered a fair bit of grassy land teal, Marina would transform and dive into her own ink, dashing around at insane speeds. (Incidentally her visor had a speed boost ability.)

Shocked, Rena apologizes profoundly! She just really hasn't quite gotten the hang of that medal yet... Ugh, how to make it work. Fragments were supposed to channel light from the future, not just indiscriminately discharge energy...
Why do you looks so slimy, ugh..!"

I had no idea what this Raichu was going on about. Listening was pretty important to me being a Detective and all, so all this talk was kinda the icing on my poffin. The Spiky Punk was loud though. It was annoying. Not quite as annoying as that alarm but it was close. At least he said please I supposed. I had to admit, even after all this time, I still didn't quite understand what alarm meant what. It always felt pretty pointless to me having so many different alarms for different things when you forgot what alarm was ringing as soon as you arrived for the debriefing. Technically, we didn't have to do anything. I was part of the Kid's team now so really I had no obligation to check it out. Still my curiosity got the better of me. I made out I hadn't heard the Spiky Punk and just went running off to the room where the alarm was ringing from. Once I got there it was obvious this was a seismograph reading, but at the same time it was probably not an earthquake, based on my knowledge of this city. Something was causing this, from the looks of it in the subway. Looker was there, and of course that old man was poking his nose in. I couldn't help myself from letting off an "Oh great, the old silver-top."
Pikaaa....
Excuse me?

It's difficult, and can be frustrating I agree. One of the hazards of travelling with me I'm afraid.
Still, so far those Daleks seem to have not followed, and they will have trouble finding us here. All we need to do, is be careful and follow the tunnels the correct way.
Don't do yourself down Lynne, you can have all the powers and weapons in the world, but if the situation doesn't suit them, it's down to how well you can do under pressure that matters. And so far, you've not let me down once.
If you had, we wouldn't be here afterall.

Oh wow. Did you really have to stab him? I think we have enough attention already what with the earthquakes we just caused.
By the time he was reached, the Spy had stopped the wheels and was in the process of patching up the wound he caused with a comically large health kit.
"My specialty, amigo. Some habits die hard. But he will live. I just needed him to sleep from the shock of the wound for... a while."
As he said so, he brought up his disguise kit, the one with many cigarettes. As he did, he took one, and transformed into a double of the man fallen before them. He even had the same voice as the man, and the knife and pocket watch had dissapeared from sight.
"Now we can move on. What are the rest of the group doing?"
Regiwi wrote:
A seismometer. It would seem this alarm is because of a tremor of some kind then Detective? Still... given the layout of this city, there shouldn't be any earthquakes here, which means something else has caused it correct? It appears something underground?

"O."
"Sry."
"You're safe in my boat. The damned are not gonna take you for now or anything."
Something in Kasen's more genuine expression made Komachi reciprocate the smile, and what she said rang true enough.
"Death is my bread and butter. Or is it miso and white rice...? At any rate, I no longer mind a more casual talk. But if you're this tenacious to live, then don't double up and go dying on me."
"Or at least let me give you a luxury send-off when you do."

"Alright. I'll wait on the gentleman on the left. In the meantime, our next stop is set. Hold on."
As she said so, the same pink aura that showed up sometimes when she was going through the Lanes Between or ready to fight the Heartless showed up, around her, the boat and its crew. It'd feel like they were going nowhere, but the whole Underworld, and a foggy blur of space would show up around.
Komachi's distance manipulation didn't work through borders, but luckily, this world already had a pathway carved outwards, and Gensokyo happened to have a fractured border itself now, by chance or design.
So it was that in a speed that I will dare not name speed of plot, they'd find themselves swinging down a river on a much less gloomy and prettier landscape, in a very colorful spring.
"Missed it by that much."
There was a festival occurring a ways away from the river, and the gathering of people showed. There was even a gathering of a fair few individuals a little bit away from the main event. Komachi recognized mainly one outfit from afar: because it was weird and black-white. And from afar, Marina's sprays of ink looked like...
"Oh dear. Danmaku?"
Farther away:
Nenilein wrote:"Don't say you didn't ask for it! INKOMING!"
"Uh oh-!"
The warning was enough to get IF on her toes, but even then, she doesn't have the Gensokyo trademark practice against fast projectiles. The ink spray was in an area wide enough to splat her in teal and make her fall down.
"Ow! What's this...? Ink? Ah, she's gonna ruin my coat!"
She jumped back up and readied her katars, which protuded just out of her coat's. She didn't see Marina anymore, and as she looked around the inky surface, her body involuntarily stiffened.
"W-What the-!"
Half of her body just stopped responding, making her fall down to one side.
"Paralysis...?"
She didn't immediately panic. She dealt with paralysis in combat before, but she had Compa to bail her out of the ailment. Her absense was gonna make things difficult.
And then came a shortness of breath. It was as if her throat was constricting gradually.
Now she panicked. And it was the worst time to panic too. Her eyes widened and the color drained from her face.

"Hah. You're probably right."
With the confirmation that he had plenty anyway, Weiss helped herself to a handful of it.
"It just feels silly to ask for it after all that has been happening. Feels like it's not giving enough weight to the deaths we just experienced."
"But it's not like that should move us to inaction either. THAT would be something worth hating."
She popped one jelly in her mouth.

She maintains silent for a small time as she processes his words, only giving a small nod.
"Did you not say it earlier? You wish to be the friendly neighborhood Spiderman for the city, correct? ... I think that is an admirable goal."
She begins to slow down her pace, partially because she wishes to finish this particular conversation before entering the cafe, and partially because they had nearly arrived at their destination. The character of this Spider person had been judged, and thankfully, it hadn't been found wanting. He did sound...different compared to the usual 'hero' types she had known. At the very least he would have been welcome in her home city if things weren't so screwed up there.
"Everyone wants to try to solve the biggest problems that the world has. Most forget that it is the little things that are needed to keep us safe. Even this city suffers from that. Between the new arrivals and the major issues that creep up, those little things have gotten out of hand. It will be...good to have a hero for the people around."
Finally, she stops in front of the cafe, gesturing to it lightly. Though she has worn a scowl throughout most of the conversation, there may be the tiniest hint of a smile on her face now.
"Mister Spider, and friend. Here we are. Heroes first."

"Ah, yes. We would like to see the storage room." That pink-haired girl seems to have a lot of influence to change his mind. Maybe she's more than just a passing customer. Could she be his supervisor? Aqua turns to Vespus.
Susie meanwhile checked her watch.
"Oh, dear, would you look at the time? I have a business meeting coming up! They're very strict with these appointments. I hope you enjoy your tour!" With a quick wave, Susie rushed to the front door.
Re: The General Roleplay
Vespus knew that Susie was clearly trying to get them into a trap. That was the most obvious attempt at laying out a trap that he had ever seen in his life. "I would appreciate the ability for a tour," Vespus replied. He was ready for battle, and would not be fooled so easily by any of this. The moment they tried anything, Vespus was going to rail Bolt Shells on anything they threw at him or Aqua. All he could do was keep up the stealth act for now. Vespus looked over to Aqua and nodded, trying to subtly clue her in that he was expecting a trap from his body language.
Tuslo nodded. "Sure, let's get in there," she said, entering the cafe. She knew that this was a hideout for gangs, and she was all-too eager to punch the daylights out of folks until they let her and Spider-Man into the hideout. She may just be a kid, but she was easily the strongest warrior there.

Pit took another swing of his Fortune Bow, knocking down a Dairy in the process. He dodged another bullet barrage with a dash and tried to catch his breath for a moment. The fairies were relentless, and he wasn't used to this kind of pace in the sky.
"L-Lady Palutena... Who are these people? Why are this many little girls trying to fight me?"
A bigger fairy spawned from thin air in front of Pit, with a row of fairies following close behind, and the angel reloaded as fast as he could, trying to supress a cry of terror.
"I'm really struggling here! Where did the CHILDREN come from!?"
--------------------------------------------------------------
Tracer wasted no time making use of Widowmaker's mistep. She threw herself towards the sniper, closing the distance until the pilot is straddling the sniper on the rooftop. Before pinning her arms, she made sure that her rifle is out of Widowmaker's range, to avoid nasty surprises.
"I finally caught ya! You have a lot to explain here, love. Who're ya going after this time? What am I doing here? Time to sing!"

Lapis can't help but smile at Viridi's sincerity. She thinks about Steven for a second, about his way of looking at everything like everything deserves a chance, and with the Goddess at her side, his loss stings slightly less for a moment. She feels the need to wrap her in a hug, but she's unable to with her arm locked under Viridi's head. She makes her gem shine, instead, and uses one of her water wings as the arm she needs to hug her closer.
"Viridi... Thank you. This all means a lot. Despite how confused I still am about all of this... I really can't thank you enough for what you're doing for me."

Re: The General Roleplay
Aqua nods back. This is indeed a trap. But why would the lady be so blatantly obvious about it? Does she think they were run of the mill intruders or was she expecting them to go in anyway? If we chase after her, we'll give ourselves away. We either walk into the trap or alert the enemy of our presence. "Lead the way, shopkeep."
Well, this place is certainly... colorful. If it was pixelated, it'd feel a lot like the FC world. Madotsuki observed the new environment and whatever lived here.

Zinnia was a friend during my time working here. She could be a bit odd, but her passion was second to none. Many a time I'd have to rush after her because she couldn't wait for the details. Granted, she could easily take care of herself, still it'd not be right to leave her alone to deal with it. We still don't know what it is afterall. She had a headstart though, with that Salamence of hers, we'd not be able to get there on foot quickly. I hated to admit it, but I'd need Looker to drive us there. Not to mention we'd need to see who's willing to go with us. I didn't want to abandon the Kid without a word afterall.
Pi pi pi.

Re: The General Roleplay
Hearing the telltale noises of a loaded set of weapons, Marisa momentarily pulled her attention away from Joon to check out the source of the interruption, only to end up staring down the barrels of Marina's Dualies. Firearms weren't a common sight in Gensokyo, but most everyone had a vague idea of what one looked like, particularly the learned.
Her hands still, the magician was quick as a flash when the weapons went off. Ink or not, it was customary in this land to dodge anything that came your way too fast. Rolling hard against the grass, Marisa steadied herself before meeting the intruder's eyes with unresolved indignation. All too soon, however, she noticed that another of the new arrivals had fallen to the ground, seemingly in pain, left as little more than a seized-up shell.
"Right, fine. Now you're just asking for it. Move and I'll shoot!"
"I mean, wait, I meant... Dammit, why can't I ever get that right? To hell with it!"
Almost without restraint at this stage, the girl let loose a barrage of magic projectiles in azure and at tremendous speed. The magic missiles fired in a straight line, doing moderate damage to the environment, but Marisa was mostly focused on sustaining her movement around the target octopus person.
Already, Byakuren was kneeling down by the fallen IF, and gratefully thanked Link for his contribution as she checked on the girl's state. Before long, a girl from the crowd moved to aid the monk with masked reluctance.
"It's going to be one of those days."
"I know what you mean, yes."

"For shame, now I'm craving miso. I can only hope that those folk from the Devil Mansion have brought eastern food too this time."
Turning to view her homeland revealing itself once more, Kasen was immediately shocked by what was taking place despite the cordial arrangement of the festival.
"Danmaku. Yes, quite, danmaku indeed."
"I'm sorry to leave without saying a proper goodbye but I think I may have to interfere here."
"That said, goodbye."
With a quick smile directed at her sort-of-friend, Kasen practically sprang off the boat and began moving with ever-increasing speed towards the scene of the fight.

Re: The General Roleplay
The Raichu rolled its eyes at the Yung'un getting carried away with his passions and sighed with a slight giggles.
Pikaaa....
Excuse me?
Pi!?!
-It's gonna be one of 'em days, huh?-
"Ah yes, Detective, I was just about to warn you."
"There seems to be criminal activity afoot! Not only are the tremors coming from underground, the cameras we've placed around the area were neutralized in some way. I can't say whether the tremors did it or someone intentionally messed with them, but it is worrying news. Zinnia set out already to confirm what's happening, but it if is criminal activity, it's dangerous for her to go alone! So I'm on my way out right now."
"Avante! Detective, are you coming along?"
"W-Whoa! You talk to the Pikachu!? That's awesome! I-I wanna do that too!!"
Then, stuff.
"H-Hey! Wait on me!!"
... Meanwhile, on the other room, Red sort of stared at where Detective Pikachu had dissapeared, wondering vaguely if she should pursue or not, since the conversation had directed itself away from her.
Hau, however, grabbed the monster girl's hand.
"C'mon, Red! This seems like it's gonna be fun! Adventure-ho!"
He had no idea what was going on, but with Red in tow, Hau ran chase, his Raichu levitating right behind him.
They caught up with the group.
"Hey, y'guys! Got some free seats on your ride?"
"Oh dear. Danmaku?"
Rena flinched and stumbled upon seeing the bullet-rain. It was giving her literal war flashbacks.
Woow. She's an Octorok!
Marina didn't quite pay attention to all the banter around her. She was used to banter during Turf Wars, and as an S+-ranked player you had to get used to just tuning out all the screams of mercy of your opponent team (Just reverting to your mother tongue so you don't think too much about 'em helps, of course.)
She continued her fire relentlessly, dyeing the floor in her teal color, marking it as her territory.
She noticed the splatted one 'person'. Weirdly enough, that person didn't seem to be despawning. Huh. How odd. Was this normal for these people? Oh well. She could ask later, once she'd kick'd butt!
The azure bullet hail came down upon Marina. Ah, right! Now THIS was a turf war! She dodged the projectiles with all the skill her rank indicated. Wherever Marisa's bullets hit, Marina's ink dissipated into thin air.
"Huh!? Now that's weird! She fights without color? I've never seen that before!"
The surprise startled her, just long enough to take two hits.
"O-Ouch!"
Marina quickly dived into her ink and slid out of the way, before reemerging.
"Ungh... I've to be extra-careful to not get splatted!"
Still, Marina was smiling. This was fun! When was the last time she'd had to deal with that huge a rule change? Pretty long ago, she had to bet. She was still a little insecure about everything going on, but on the battlefield, she felt home! She quickly continued to ink her turf and attempted to splat Marisa with all she had, elegantly doging out of the way of the bullets, which's pattern she quickly figured out.
"Ahhhh!! This is so pretty! I gotta learn how to do that! Seems like it'd cover a lot of ground!"
"The hell are you on about? You married to a corpse or something?"
Revy cackles to herself over the idea and alternates between her cigarette and her Bacardi drink, while motioning for the barkeep to keep them coming.
"Man, I thought I'd heard it all but there are some pretty fucked up places in this world if rotten flesh is what people are into. Though I've seen necrophiliacs doing some messed up shit back where I'm from, so maybe you can start a group therapy when the novelty dies down."
She laughs again.
"Oh, we're not married. Yet." She laughed a little. "Things got kind of... hectic lately, y'know? Eugene and I don't have time to think about settling down yet! Y'know, I've got a mystery to solve, adventures to fight...!"
"Also, what do you mean 'corpse'? I revived him! Sheesh, is that so hard to understand?" she paused. "Don't answer that."
She sighed.
"A-Anyway, Eugene is great! He's cool! He's 100% okay! The only thing I'm gonna need a therapy group for is --- Well, all the other weird stuff that's been happening in my life! Ha Ha..."
On the outside she was laughing, but inside she was cringing at the memories. Also crying, just a little.
Those who pass on I'm sure would want there to still be some happiness in the world, even if it's simply small things. You don't honour their memories by forgoing silly things that make you happy.
"Hm..."
She's calmed down considerably by now. Looking around while the Doc fed candy to that other girl, she took a short walk in circles.
"You're right, I guess... Things are gonna work out! They always do."
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get on our way! Tunnel-ho!"
Oh, look! Treats!
"Don't mind if I do!" she munched away, inhaling the food like a vacuum.
Lynne? Do you notice anything odd about this room?
"Hm? Oh, well, it looks pretty... Sci-Fi-y here?" Lynne looked around. "I think it's probably a lab or testing chamber of some kind. Lots of gadgets and do-dats here. I'd rather not touch anything though. Knowing my luck, I'll end up triggering a Rube Goldberg contraption that wants to murder me, and I'm not exactly made of extra lives right now."

Tuslo easily dodged out of the way of that incredibly slow knife, before jumping up and kicking the bigger man in the gut to knock the wind out of him. "Well, at least I don't have to avoid being subtle about my desire to fight!" she mentioned, grinning a big grin over this battle.
That was a lot of stuff that they had in the warehouse. Vespus looked over to Aqua. They needed to ditch the guide they had to begin their search for information. Vespus was certain that they were going to unleash all of the robots in here against them, that was the easiest setup for a trap that he had imagined.

The woman gives a small nod to Spiderman's question.
"My name is..."
She is, unfortunately, unable to get that answer out fully. The thugs within have started to rile, and counter to the demands of the supposed leader, a battle has begun. The one who instigated the fight slides in front of her, and between the moonlit night above and behind her, the shilouette that she was now casting, and the fact that she was lifting her case high up into the air with ease, this thug was about to be in a world of hurt.
"...You are ruining my tour..."
Compared to when she was giving the 'tour', this voice is not cold, merely venomous. The case is slammed down against the thug's head, knocking him out and taking him out of this fight. She'll step into the cafe properly, just looking for the next idiot she was going to have to knock some sense into.

Yes, there is a lot of high-tech equipment here. Well, by the standards of the rest of this city at least. It could be useful, however... it seems the power to this room is off. That leads... to the other thing though.

The mystery woman is going to pick up the downed thug and toss him to the outside for now, her eyes glaring at the rest. In this situation, they had thrown the first strike as it were, and given that she actually liked the drinks here, they were the aggressors that needed to be kicked out.
Her case is readied at her sid, yet to make a move against the others. Best to let them take a strike and then deliver the counter to evict them. Seeing the way Tuslo took the pool cue and delivered that gut strike though... Yes, this was the start of an interesting time.

Re: The General Roleplay
"God, I'm being way too predictable here."
Leaping up and flying through the air, her hair fluttering about loosely, Marisa continued weaving around her opponent's ink streams with considerable ease. It didn't occur to the magician for even one second that Marina might not be taking this life-or-death catfight seriously, as Marisa was far too busy concentrating on dodging the projectiles heading her way to notice the squid girl's dumb, giggly expression.
"Don't get your hopes up, 'cause this is just a warm-up," she exclaimed, launching another, seemingly endless, volley of magical weapons to push that point home. The missiles were ridiculously fast, albeit not so dangerous, but Marisa was content with using them to force Marina further away. With a wave of one hand, some kind of card inscribed with various characters made its way between Marisa's fingers and something about the environment began to change. It was as though the sun itself had grown cold and were dimming down like a dying bulb.
"Let's see how you like this! Magic Sign - Stardust Reverie!" Marisa announced the name of her spell card with characteristic glee, locking herself into the same position in the air as a series of magic sigils formed around her, tracing circumferences around her and spiralling away, producing what looked like small, star-shaped lights in the same way that wrapped around the air and seemed to split it into various regions between which movement was rather difficult, especially for someone stuck on the ground.
"Come on, this is my easiest spell."
Even then, the sigils kept moving, tracing new patterns almost constantly as the old ones began to fold back on themselves, attempting to force their target inbetween their crushing motions. And as new danmaku were brought to life, what remained of the old floated aimlessly throughout the battlefield as passive hazards.
