Re: Descend - An Escape Adventure
"That's an idea, but why bother playing a literal game of telephone? That can get confusing, and the loud ringing might startle people. You never know when someone is doing something important, like writing a poem or taking apart a minifridge!"
"If you want, I can just walk over and ask them. They're not that far away. I mean, not that anything is that far away on a single floor of a hotel."
Monika starts to edge towards the exit of their room and away from the safe, then stops and looks at the other two occupants.
"You guys promise to tell me if you find anything else, right? I mean, I don't have a great feeling about our search chances, but still..."

Re: Descend - An Escape Adventure
Realising it was pretty surprising they hadn't even gotten the lights on yet, partially because of a certain someone throwing a tantrum, partly because they were moving kind of slowly, Spidey decided to play it down. "Oh, yeah it's a pretty big room here, hard to find a light switch in such a big room in the dark." Having got the lights on now he went searching for a way to do something about cutting that power.
He examined the room until he came across what looks like a breaker box. It seems to be closed with a lock however. Spidey decides to use his all purpose skeleton key, that is grabbing the lock and trying to pull it off with super strength.

Re: Descend - An Escape Adventure
The breaker box' lock may be sturdy, but it starts cracking! Just a tiny bit more and the door should come off. Either Spidey pulls a little harder, or somebody helps him out.
Re: Descend - An Escape Adventure
Edgeworth frowned slightly. He'd been taking care not to sound accusatory.Aleka wrote:"Did I say something I wasn't supposed to say?"
"No, it's nothing like that. I just didn't expect you to..." He stopped his sentence midway, as he didn't want her to misunderstand his statements any further. "Never mind."
Aleka wrote:"Basically, it means that you... start fights, right?"
She shivered a little.
"I couldn't do that. I wouldn't know who to stick with... or who to sort it out again."
Edgeworth stayed silent for a few seconds, trying to think of the best way to word his answer.
"Prosecutors don't start fights. Our job is to make sure the ones that started them face the consequences of their actions."
"Also, you don't have to pick sides. All you need is to always stay close to the truth, and it'll eventually show itself."

"The truth..."
"That would sure be nice... If every problem had a solution that you can just find."
Aleka repeated Edgeworth's word, thoughtful. Something about it seemed to resonate with her.

"Alright, we'll make sure we haven't missed anything in this room," Akechi declared to Monika, crouching down to examine the floor. "Don't take too long, though. We're in groups of three for a reason, after all."
"Oh, one more thing! Please make sure you inform Mr Edgeworth that the phone he called earlier remained active if you can find him."

Monika nods at Akechi's request.
"Phone remained active, got it. I'll be right back, promise! I'm not the type of person to get lost easily, you know."
With a quick turn, Monika heads out of the hotel room, closing the door behind her.

Junko put the phone down slowly, frowning at Monika for a second. At this point it was too obvious that she was plotting something. Junko took a moment to reply to her, but stopped when she heard Akechi. Her expression softened in an unnerving way as she waved Monika goodbye, her worries gone from her face.
"Ah... Leaving us again? Bye bye~ Come back safe!"

As Monika moved outside and away from the room, Goro took the opportunity to lean against the now-closed door. The door itself wasn't anything special but the detective seemed highly interested in the sound it was making. He put a finger to his lips, shushing his partner for efficiency's sake and pressing his ear to the door lightly. There was a look of slight concentration on his face as he began to think.
On the other side, a figure manifested covertly. It leered outside the door intently, watching Monika's back. The Persona was an incredibly useful tool in this instance, now that Goro had ascertained that nobody else was nearby or able to glimpse the awakened spirit. For the moment, Akechi's Persona remained utterly still, observing Monika's actions and her destination. If she were to turn around or if someone else were to enter the corridor, it would vanish to preserve its secretive existence.

Monika starts to walk in the direction of the room that Edgeworth is in, but then she stops for a moment. She stares at a blank spot on the wall, eyes flickering, and then suddenly turns and heads towards room 503. She quickly enters it and very quietly closes the door behind her.

Re: Descend - An Escape Adventure
Crowbar breaks
Wait, was there even a crowbar anyway? Oh well, if there was, it is now broken in halves. Now, just how did that happen?
Re: Descend - An Escape Adventure
"Hey, uh, Spider-Man? What are you doing?" Congrats Adachi, you avoided getting grilled for now.

Spidey continued pulling on the lock, he was almost there, give a bit more pressure... "Oh, it was Aqua on the phone, she said there's something stuck in the wall in the room they're in, but it's electrified so they can't grab it. Apparently that cravat guy I think suggested she phone us as there might be a way to cut the power in here, and sure enough I found the breaker box. I dunno if there's a key but, well I don't really see much point in us fiddling around for that if I can just... pull the lock off." He continued applying pressure, surely it would break soon?

Re: Descend - An Escape Adventure
The door closed, and Junko inmediately sprung up towards it, putting her ear against it, in a fruitless attempt to hear anything behind. In a second, she'd already bored with the notion and just rested her head against it, keeping a close look at Akechi. The gesture to ask for silence told her the detective was up to something, but what that could possibly be was, of course, outside of anything she could imagine. With her gaze still glued on him, her eyes started shining with excitement until they became hard to look at. Junko hugged herself to avoid too much movement and distracting Akechi.
As much as she tried, however, she couldn't keep quiet. So she whispered at her companion while she dragged down the door.
"Hey... That thing you're doing... What is that? Are you some kind of ESPer? I really really don't get it... Is this why you're a genius detective?" Junko swallowed, trying to keep her thoughts together. Whatever force of nature that had brought her here had given her much more fun than any of her schemes could give her. "...You'll teach me how to do it, right? If you're seeing through walls then that can only mean one thing..."

The breaker box' door gives in and breaks open. Congratulations, Spider-Man! You have now full control over the floor's electricity and water distribution. There is two switches for every room, one for power, one for water.

Spidey grabbed the phone again, giving Hitsugi a thumbs up. "So, I've got it open. Had to give it a bit of the ol' Spidey magic as it was locked. Anyway, I've got control of it all here it seems, so which room did you need again?"

Spidey didn't need telling twice. He checked the labelling and provided it was all straightforward, he would flip the power switch to Room 505.

Re: Descend - An Escape Adventure
With a *tch!* the lights in Room #505 went off. At once, Aqua, Edgeworth and Aleka - who was still unconscious - were left in the dark. The phone briefly powered down as well, but quickly came back online, along with a red lamp shining brightly from it. Apparently, having the power-cut mid-call activates the emergency power source.
"Alright. That did it, thank you! We'll try to see if we can get that thing out of the wall now."

Aleka wrote:
"That would sure be nice... If every problem had a solution that you can just find."
Edgeworth reflected on Aleka's word for a while. Could there be a problem with no solution at all?
However, when he was ready to give her an answer on that...
Aleka wrote:
"...!"
Mid-conversation, she suddenly passes out.
"Aleka!"
Edgeworth rushed to her side, worried about her. After laying Aleka on her back, he tried to wake her up, to no avail. His next move was making a quick vitals check, while taking the chance to look for any marks she could have on her body. He checked her pulse at her wrist, then noticed she was still breathing by the slight movement of her chest.
She was still alive.
"Aqua," he called for her, without looking away from Aleka, "are you still on the phone? We might need-"
Cue Spiderman turning off the lights at the best timing possible.
"..."
"A light source. We might need a light source right now. Miss Aleka has fainted."

Spidey was glad it seemed to have worked. "Sure, careful you don't get your hand caught or anything though." He didn't really question why he was still able to speak on the phone, and Aqua was probably too busy to ask about it.

Spidey could hear another voice in the background, was it Edgeworth? His voice sounded angry and he could have sworn he heard 'Aleka' said but not much more. "Er... everything ok over there?"

Being so focused on her talk with Spider-Man, Aqua had stopped listening to the conversation between Aleka and Edgeworth a while ago. Accordingly, Edgeworth's proclamation from behind came as a surprise.
"H-Huh!? What---"
She turned. After all this time in the darkness, she had developed a bit of an ability to see well in the dark, and Aleka's white clothing made it easy to see her on the bed, even just illuminated by the red light of the lamp on the phone.
"Oh no...! How..!?
Spidey could hear another voice in the background, was it Edgeworth? His voice sounded angry and he could have sworn he heard 'Aleka' said but not much more. "Er... everything ok over there?"
"Um... Aleka passed out," Aqua tried to tell him as tactfully as possible. "I'm sorry. I'll need to cut the conversation here, I need to check on the others. Thank you for all your help! We'll see you in a bit!"
And with that, Aqua fumbled a little, returning the phone's receiver to its place, then hurrying to Edgeworth's side.
"What happened?" she asked.
Re: Descend - An Escape Adventure
Thanks to Spider-man's help, the lights were now on. Because of that, Adachi could notice what appeared to be some kind of golden thing spinning around in one of the dryers. However, when he tries to turn it off, the button wouldn't work.
This was annoying, and as everyone in the room would soon notice, something that Adachi could vent his frustrations out on.
"Why can't anything ever be simple in this stupid place?!"
The former detective summoned his Persona, which quickly made work of said drying machine. Effectively opening it by... smashing it into pieces. That's one way to take care of things.
