Pixel Café

Ah, the Pixel Café. As soon as you open the glass doors to this small, beautiful little shop hidden between two other buildings in the vast town of Larstern, you are greeted by the smell of all kinds of exotic cuisine. From hot cinnamon buns to stews prepared with six-legged unheard of creatures, anyone could find something they like here. When times are calm and nothing of particular importance is afoot, our heroes are welcome to sit down, make an order and sit down on one of the lush seats provided. Read a book, chat with other people, and enjoy a break at the quaintest café in town, serving people from all corners of the Multiverse.

Already, several people stopped by for a meal. Among them were Yukine and Hiyori, who after chatting with Atsuma, went into Larstern. Gordon Freeman and Kirby are among the newer customers.

Gordon nodded to his waiter. Yeah, he knows what he wants. An actual meal. And some of their finest beer. It feels like ages since he had something of the sort. And then he realizes. Damn, does he even have any cash on him? And if he did, would they even accept American dollars? He scowls a bit and sighs.

He waves his hand and shakes his head at the waiter. He wants nothing, just... looking for a place to sit, is all.

The waiter nodded. "I understand," he replied. "Would you at least like some water to drink, on the house? You look like you could use something to drink right about now."

Gordon blinked in surprised. Huh. How kind. A small smile appears on the weathered man's face and he nods. Yeah, that sounds good.

With the order done, Gordon just sighs and leans back on the chair. Funny how he's here relaxing. He'd never thought he'd ever know what that felt like again. After what seemed like an eternity of hell that would never end, here he is, sitting in a restaurant, sitting comfortably. True, he's broke and is only getting some water, but it sure as hell beats lying on the dirt hearing distant wailing sirens, gun fire and explosions.

He can only hope that this is real and not a dream. And that if it is real, that dammit, it won't be taken away form him.

Eventually, after what seemed like a long wait and not because the GM forgot about Gordon, the waiter returned with Gordon's water.  "Here you go," he said.  "Also, just a bit of advice, if you need money for your next purchase, the Adventurer's Guild has plenty of jobs for one such as yourself to take on.  You'll have plenty of coin from doing a few adventures there."
